Solo and Ensemble

Today I went to a school provided activity where you go and share your talents, whether it is singing, playing the piano, or playing a different instrument. I did a violin and flute duet with my friend. We played Minuette and Trio, by Mozart. We did a pretty good job at it, but in the end we walked away with a -2. Oh well we tried our hardest. We still got an excellent, I would have liked a Superior, but it wasn't meant to be. My really good friend Rachel got the outstanding solo for our school. She sang Panis Angelicus, and our sixtuplet group that sang The River Sleeps Beneath the Sky, got the outstanding for a chorus ensemble.

I had a great time other wise! I didn't get to go last year, and I am very happy that I got to go this year. I am going to try to do it in Highschool, but it is going to take a lot of work. :)

That's wonderful. It's great you are willing to share your talents with others.

I love listening to violin music.

Yeah. I was hoping for a 1 or a -1 but we did what we could with the amount of time we had. :)
